CINDY-LEE HARPER - VIC

Cindy-Lee HarperCindy-Lee trained as a high school English, Speech /Drama teacher and specialises in entertaining and educational programs for young children, creating interactive and participatory programs using range of props, puppets, stories, poems and songs. She works primarily in Pre-Schools and Child Care Centres, Lower Primary, and with Professional Development in Storytelling. Cindy-Lee travels to the north-east and to south-eastern suburbs of Melbourne and specified dates to the Greater Geelong area.


JACKIE KERIN - VIC

Jackie KerinJackie has a diploma in Drama (NIDA) and a Bachelor of Education. With these skills she combines a love of teaching with her passion for language and performance in storytelling. Jackie works with all age groups and has a special interest in ESL children. Her program has been graded carefully with highly participatory stories for younger children to more complex and literary tales for older students. She travels anywhere in west and north-west metropolitan Melbourne and to Geelong.


SUSAN PEPPER - VIC

Susan PepperSusan brings together the skills of the storyteller and those of the literature teacher to explore story in a way that encourages active listening and well as exploration and reflection. Susan educates as she tells, giving background information on stories, archetypes and the traditional role of the storyteller. She works with Primary and High School groups and is interested in the way stories can be used to present issues and explore values. Susan travels anywhere in metropolitan Melbourne.


GAEL CRESP - VIC

Gael CrespGael is an experienced librarian and uses traditional tales to explore living in the contemporary world. She is a published author, The Biography of Gilbert Alexander Pig (1999) and Fish for Breakfast (due out in 2001), and tells to all age groups. Gael uses her own stories and poems in performance and undertakes considerable research prior to adapting traditional stories for telling. Gael will travel anywhere in metropolitan Melbourne and specified dates to country areas.


JUNE BARNES ROWLEY - VIC

June BarnesJune, known as jb, has always been a storyteller. Her primary school teachers nicknamed her 'Enid Blyton'!

As a teenager June's stories were published in the New Idea and other journals. Eventually her passion lead her to join The Storytelling Guild of Australia (VIC. Branch).

As well as being a professional storyteller, jb is editor of swag of yarns, Australia's National Storytelling Magazine. June is also a well known educator and speaker with the Kumon Institute of Education.

jb has extensive experience in storytelling with adults as well as children and has told at many venues including schools, business conferences, Book Stores, Government House, ABC Radio, Festivals, Storytelling Cafes and Conferences.

June was the winner of the storytelling contest at the 1997 Gold'n'Grape Festival in Heathcote Victoria; and she is featured on the audio tape, Mystery and Mayhem, produced by the Victorian Guild.


GILL DI STEFANO - VICGill

Gill holds audiences spellbound. All age groups have felt the power of this experienced storyteller and Gill finds performing for a diverse range of groups rewarding. She keeps coming back however to adolescents - with mutual delight.


EdwardEDWARD FARACI -VIC

Edward is a primary school teacher who has spent some years practising the art of storytelling both in the classroom and as a professional storyteller. Edward's flair for characterisation and voices lends his storytelling a dramatic touch, enhanced by his use of music.

MORGON SCHATZ BLACKROSE - NSW

Morgon Schatz-BlackroseMorgon blends her musical skills and writing experience to bring a variety of storytelling performances and workshops to audiences of adults and children alike. She has recorded three CDs of her stories and published two books on storytelling. Morgon is based in the Mid North coast region of NSW but will travel to most places in the East of Australia.
